San Diego Founder of Top U.S. Travel Nurse Agency Passes Away at 51


Alan Braynin, who founded and led the country’s biggest travel nurse agency as its CEO, passed away from cancer at the age of 51; this was reported by the firm based in San Diego.

Aya Healthcare disclosed Braynin’s death three days following the announcement of their new CEO’s appointment.

A representative from the company said that Braynin was a “visionary leader, philanthropist, and entrepreneur” whose “enduring legacy of zeal, intelligence, and benevolence will keep influencing everyone who knew him.”

In 2001, Braynin established Aya, six years following his graduation from the University of California, San Diego. His aim was to “revolutionize healthcare staffing,” as stated by the source.

Under Braynin’s guidance, Aya grew into one of the globe’s biggest digital staffing platforms, linking healthcare providers straight with hospitals and health care networks.

The firm declared the elevation of Emily Hazen to serve as the new Chief Executive Officer.

“It’s an honor to continue Aya Healthcare’s legacy,” Hazen stated.

Previously, Hazen held a dual role at Aya as both the chief operations officer and the executive vice president of process optimization.
