A Limerick woman was killed Monday afternoon in a head-on crash on Sokokis Trail in Cornish, according to Maine State Police.
Around 1:42 p.m., troopers were dispatched to a crash involving two vehicles close to 1277 Sokokis Trail North. According to police reports, 51-year-old Dawn Webber was operating a Ford Fusion moving northward when her vehicle drifted into the opposite lane and crashed head-on with an F-350 truck pulling two trailers. The operator of the F-350 did not sustain injuries. Ms. Webber passed away at the location.

The thoroughfare remained shut down for approximately six hours as authorities recreated the accident scene. The probe is still underway.
