Train and Tube Shutdowns in London During Bank Holiday

Network Rail has announced that there will be no Southeastern train services to London Victoria station during this upcoming weekend because of ongoing engineering work.

Platforms 1 through 8 will be unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays, with their services rerouted to London Bridge or Cannon Street because of maintenance activities in Battersea. Additionally, Gatwick Express services will see a reduction during this period.

Services will be suspended from Sunday through Monday for maintenance work including embankment repairs, track replacement, and drainage improvements between London Euston and Milton Keynes Central.

On the London Underground, District Line services will be suspended on Saturdays and Sundays from Edgware Road/Embankment to Ealing Broadway, including stops at Kensington (Olympia), Richmond, and Wimbledon.

Other closures include:

  • The Circle line operates throughout the weekend from Edgware Road to Tower Hill via Victoria.
  • The Southwark station on the Jubilee line won’t reopen until Tuesday.
  • From Saturday through Monday, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) will operate between Westferry/Poplar and Lewisham, as well as between Stratford International and Canning Town.
  • On Sundays, The Lioness line on the Overground will operate as usual; however, there will be no service between Euston and Willesden Junction on Mondays.
  • On Sundays, the Elizabeth line will operate with limited services between Paddington and Heathrow/Maidenhead.
