What paperwork is required for obtaining a Real ID in Arizona?

In order to obtain a Real ID in Arizona, ADOT mandates providing one main document as evidence of your birth, two documents to confirm your address, along with your Social Security number.

Documents that can be used as acceptable proof of birth include:

  • Certified birth certificate.
  • Certificate of Birth Abroad issued by the U.S.
  • A U.S. passport book or a passport card.
  • Green Card or Alien Registration Card.
  • An active Employment Authorization Document from USCIS.
  • I-94 document along with a valid foreign passport and an unexpired U.S. visa.
  • U.S. certificate of naturalization.
  • U.S. certificate of citizenship.

Documents acceptable as proof of address should be issued by businesses, organizations, or governmental bodies and must contain your name along with your residential address. The documents have to be printed ones. Examples include:

  • Utility bills.
  • Bank or credit card statements.
  • Insurance policies.
