Toast to Success: New Glarus Brewing Co. Claims 3 Awards at International Competition

NEW GLARUS, Wis. (WMTV) — The New Glarus Brewing Company secured gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2025 World Beer Cup.

Brewmaster Dan Carey secured gold and silver medals in the Belgian fruit beer section for his Kriek and Champ Du Blanc brews, respectively.

Kriek is a tart brown ale that has been matured with Door County cherries, as the firm described. Champ Du Blanc is a tangy blond ale that has been infused with white grapes during the aging process.

The Green County brewery achieved a hat trick by winning a bronze medal for their Imperial Pilsner in the “strong beer” category.

A total of 8,375 submissions were received from 1,761 breweries worldwide. The three victories claimed by New Glarus also accounted for one-third of the 349 accolades presented.

Even though they sell their products exclusively in Wisconsin, the company was recently listed as the 12th biggest craft brewery in America by the Brewers Association.
