SIoux Falls, SD (Dakota News Now) — On Sunday, May 4th, celebrated as “Star Wars Day,” SiouxperCon will collaborate with Sioux Falls Food Tours for their inaugural Star Wars Pub Crawl event.
“With SiouxperCon, we operate as a local nonprofit organization, and our primary event takes place in September. Our convention aims to support organizations such as Make-A-Wish, REACH Literacy, and JY6. This has become a significant annual event for both the community and local charities, which inspired us to broaden our activities beyond just one gathering. Given that May the Fourth coincided with a weekend this year, we saw it as an ideal chance,” explained Doria Esche, who serves on the SiouxperCon board.
It’s unprecedented for us at Sioux Falls Food Tours; we’re collaborating with five fantastic bars across downtown Sioux Falls,” shared Dana Wohlwend, Owner/Tour Operator of Sioux Falls Food Tours. “They are thrilled to create some Star Wars-inspired cocktails for our guests. With your ticket, you’ll receive one drink from each of these five venues. We’re genuinely enthusiastic about hosting this thrilling event.
The Star Wars Pub Crawl Adventure is scheduled for Sunday afternoon from 1 to 4 PM; tickets can be obtained.

The pub crawl concludes at Blarney Stone Pub featuring appetizers, trivia games, and a costume competition.
“Costumes are encouraged as they will add even more enjoyment to the celebrations; however, if you’re not wearing one, you can still join us,” stated Wohlwend.
“You don’t need to get dressed up, but trust me, it’s much more enjoyable if you do. So put on your favorite Ewok ears, wear your preferred outfit, or go all out as Chewbacca—everyone is invited,” stated Esche.
