The deadline for obtaining a Real ID to travel domestically via air is fast approaching, only one week remains. This applies to residents of places like the Quad Cities, which spans across Iowa and Illinois (KWQC).
The Transportation Security Administration visited the Quad Cities to alert travelers about the impending modification.
If you lack both a Real ID and one of the other 15 accepted identification types, anticipate potential delays; you might risk missing your flight,” warned Jose Flores, TSA deputy federal security director. “Additionally, you could potentially be denied entry to the screening area.
In Iowa and Illinois, you must schedule an appointment to obtain a Real ID. You’ll need to provide
proof of identification
and residency.
