MOSH Set to Close by September as New Location Approaches Construction

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) in Jacksonville revealed on Friday that it will permanently close its present facilities to the public this summer.

This marks neither the conclusion nor the halt for MOSH; instead, a new museum site is imminent.

As per officials, work on the construction will commence soon.

“MOSH is a component of an extensive transformation occurring at the Northbank shipyards. This area will transform into a cultural and entertainment center through initiatives such as the Stadium of Tomorrow, the Four Seasons project, and the expanded Emerald Trail, which aim to revamp the riverside,” the museum stated on Friday.

Once this year concludes, MOSH intends to keep supporting the local community through various initiatives such as pop-up activities, collaborative efforts, and educational gatherings across the city.
