The Exeter Post Office is simplifying the process for locals to obtain their U.S. passports this weekend with a single-day passport fair, where no appointments are required.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd, between 8 AM and 2 PM at the Exeter Post Office, situated at 135 South D Street.
Mail service authorities indicate that extra personnel will be available to expedite the procedure, and appointments are not required.
For individuals who do not have a passport photo, on-site photography services will be provided for $15.
People who plan to apply are advised to complete their paperwork ahead of time by going to usps.com/passport or travel.state.gov/passport.
To apply, candidates need to bring:
- a legitimate photographic identification such as a driver’s license or military ID
- A verified birth certificate, certification of naturalization, or an older passport.
Birth certificates issued at hospitals will not be accepted.
For those traveling who wish to safeguard their documents, the USPS is now providing leather passport wallets as well.
