American Airlines
Recently unveiled an enhanced winter timetable, featuring new paths from its Chicago O’Hare International Airport base to sought-after holiday spots such as St. Croix (STX) and San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO).
The airline will also increase flight frequency to existing routes in Aruba (AUA), Cancun, Mexico (CUN), Curacao (CUR), Grand Cayman Islands (GCM), Los Cabos, Mexico (SJD), and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico (PVR).
Even though the route was announced on May 2, travelers can’t reserve tickets or view the flight timetable until May 5.
According to the airline, these recent increases in flight frequency along with the introduction of new destinations represent the most significant expansion at any U.S. hub this year. “As we start experiencing early signs of spring here in Chicago, we’re planning to offer our passengers an escape from the harsh Midwest winter by providing over twice as many flights to top leisure destinations,” said Ben Humphrey, who serves as the American Airlines vice president overseeing operations at Chicago O’Hare Airport (ORD), in his official statement.
