The East Broad Top Railroad will commence operations for the 2025 season starting on Saturday.
For this year, every individual buying a train ride ticket will get an additional tour of the facility’s machine shop complex—a structure deemed by the Smithsonian as “the most genuine and comprehensive illustration of an early industrial heritage site” and described as an “unequaled national treasure.”
The management opted to introduce guided tours since they aimed to provide each visitor with the full range of experiences that the railway can offer.
The staff mentions that visitors can buy tickets for other more engaging tours as well.

To complete the historical journey at the East Broad Top Railroad, guests can head down the road to Robertsdale to explore the ‘Friends of the East Broad Top Museum.’
Within, guests can hear recordings of ex-workers describing their experiences on the railway in their own voices, alongside viewing relics and photographs from an earlier period of U.S. history.
The museum will also commence operations on May 3rd, with free entry.
